AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Parks and Rec Department wants to hear from you about changes made to Zilker Park.

There will be an open house tonight.

Proposed changes include improvements to the Barton Springs Pool and the Barton Springs Bathhouse.

In 2012 Austin voters approved a bond package that included $2 million to improve Zilker Park. Now, the city says it needs an additional $3 million.

To avoid raising taxes, the city is teaming up with Barton Springs Conservancy to help raise money.

Tonight’s meeting will be at Zilker Botanical Gardens at 6 p.m.
