And again this year, the event will occur over the Easter long weekend, with fun things happening for the whole family on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The 2014 Kite Festival is the 17th Anniversary of the event; it's a fun and free event for the whole family. In 2013, there were an estimated 40, 000 people who enjoyed this free local event.
The Kite Festival is a well organised event that is fully supported by the local community and the local Port Adelaide Enfield council. It's a spectacular sight of colour and creativity. If you've never wanted to fly a kite before, you will at this event. You won't be able to help yourself - the excitement becomes contagious.
There will be kite flying, kite displays, carnival rides, kite stalls, food, fun and games for everyone, and kite making workshops for the children. The kids will love learning how to put a kite together, then actually flying it!
